Session 14 — The Employer’s Shadow
The party synthesizes all investigations and revelations. They begin to suspect Dr. Allera Solaris herself—the one who hired them to investigate. Missing footage from her personal laboratory, a Nexus cult symbol found in her private records, and gaps in her own Reverie memories paint a concerning picture. The employer may be the conspiracy’s key player, or at minimum, deeply entangled with it.
Silas Kestra is re-contacted via the “starlight” code and hints cryptically that he knows the identity of the true thief. But cooperation has a price—cooperation he will not reveal during this contact. The party stands at a crossroads. Two investigative paths remain open: confront Dr. Allera Solaris directly and risk revealing their knowledge prematurely, or follow Silas Kestra’s lead and pay his unspecified price. The session ends on a cliffhanger, the true conspiracy still obscured, and the party uncertain whom to trust.
